Advanced Display and Stretchable Electronics using Soft Materials
Recently, display technologies are evolving toward shape deformable form factor and real-like immersive emotions. Especially, stretchable display attracts growing research interests for this display applications and for beyond display applications such as wearable electronics and stretchable photonics. To obtain stretchable stability and sensibility with electronic and photonic properties are desired with manipulation of soft materials such as polymeric materials. Another soft matter of liquid crystals with chiral molecular structure are soft photonic band structures which can control various physical and optical properties by various external stimulus. Therefore, liquid crystal can be used for stimulus responsive photonic sensors. In this talk, we discuss research approach of stretchable electronic and photonics sensor using polymeric and mesogenic soft materials.
